A Lack of Traction

This is especially true for those who have two sided polyurethane mattresses. Typically, what happens is that the cloth of your mattress will not get enough traction with your bed’s framework to keep things settled and in a non-slipping manner.
Your Mattress’ Age
Another factor that may cause your bed to slip and slide is its age. When was the last time you remember buying your mattress? If it’s been decades, then it’s likely the age of your mattress that’s causing it to not stay put on your adjustable bed. After years of continuous usage, mattresses may collect a coating of your body’s grime and oils from the floor and base of your adjustable bed. This too can cause your bed to slide in uncomfortable ways.
Maybe Your Adjustable Bed is Too Big

Get a Mattress Non-Slip Slip Pad
A mattress non-slip pad is a simple and economical way to prevent, and additional prevent some slipping and slipping of your mattress. They come in different shapes and sizes and are often used to keep rugs in-place or even line up cupboard shelves. Just place the non-slip pad between your mattress and your own box spring or adjustable bed and you are done. The non-slip pad shouldn’t alter the texture of your adjustable bed, since it’s thin in size. We recommend going just a bit bigger than the dimensions of your own bed, since it’s easy to trim down the slip pad as needed. If you have a larger size bed, like a California king, and cannot find a size big enough, we recommend pairing two of these mats together to make things work out.
Get a Rubber Sheet or a Yoga Pad
A less expensive method than getting a non-slip pad is to buy a rubber sheeting. You could even use one that’s sitting underneath the rug in your living room. Just cut it to match the dimensions of your mattress or adjustable bed, and then place it on the adjustable bed as a makeshift non-slip pad. It may seem a little out there. However, you even use a yoga mat and have it serve as a non-slip pad as well.
Don’t Forget the Velcro or Tape
Many people we know can attest to the having successfully used dual sided carpet tape. However, we’re not 100% convinced about this. But if this works for you, it makes for an inexpensive and relatively easy way to make your stop your adjustable bed and mattress from slipping if everything else fails. A good alternative to tape are Velcro strips with adhesive? The strips have glue on both sides, so you want to stick one to the underside of your mattress and the other on your adjustable bed. Make sure that both sides are firmly in place, give it a test and the Velcro strips could be your end-all be-all solution to having a non-slipping mattress on your adjustable bed
Reconsider Getting a New Adjustable Bed Size
If your mattress is not sitting securely inside your adjustable bed framework, and there’s way too much wiggle room, then you may be left with very little options but to look at getting another adjustable bed that matches the mattress you want to pair it with. In the meantime, you could use hardwood planks or towels as spacers as a short-term remedy.
